Disciplinary Removals of Students with Disabilities POLICY

 

It is the policy of Maine School Administrative District # 15 to provide a safe environment for all students. The District will comply with all applicable state and federal special education laws that govern the removal of students with disabilities from their regular school programs whether as a result of suspension, expulsion, or any other removal covered by state and federal special education laws.

The Superintendent, in consultation with the Director of Special Services and other school administrators, may develop and promulgate procedures for implementing this policy, and may amend those procedures as necessary.
