MSAD #15 BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Board of Directors of MSAD 15 believes that learning is a lifelong process and that citizens should have the opportunity to continuing formal educational experiences in their community. To this end an educational program for adults shall be established and maintained in MSAD 15. This program shall provide opportunities for the residents of Gray and New Gloucester and surrounding towns to receive instruction in subjects commonly taught in Gray-New Gloucester High School, and in such other fields as recommended by the Administration and Advisory Committee. The Board will employ a duly certified Director of Adult and Community Education (the Director) to administer the program.
Course offerings will generally include those needed for completion of a high school diploma, preparation for General Equivalency Diploma (GED), courses to enhance vocational skills, and courses for personal enrichment. Fees will vary based on source of funding and residence of the student.
The Board authorizes issuance of appropriate recognition certificates of attendance and satisfactory performance of work upon completion of units of instruction. The Board authorizes issuance of a GED in conformance with the regulations of the American Council on Education and the Department of Education. The Board authorizes issuance of a Gray-New Gloucester High School diploma to individuals who have met all of the requirements as follows:
The requirements of the GNG Class of 1999 for all individuals whose High School graduating class would have been 1999 or before;
The requirements of the class the individual would have graduated with if continuing school through earning a diploma for all those whose High School graduating class would have been 2000 or after.
